Assalamualaikum .

I know most of you must be familiar with this word right?? ^^ Today was my second last class , hopefully tomorrow will be a memorable day to JAC1102A with Miss Zue :*  now lets back to the topic that we have learned today and it was a hilarious class ever ! >< I can't stop laughing from start to the end of the class . HAHA .

First we learned about AUTHOR'S PURPOSE .
when we read article or what so ever , the writer have something that he or she want to expose in their writing . Maybe they want to INFORM , or ENTERTAIN or to DESCRIBE something .

Second , we learned about tone in essay . you know what is TONE ??

this is what we called SARCASTIC .

sarcastic is a type of TONE .

we can say that sarcastic is...

there are many types of tone such as

-indignant

-bitter

-cynical

-incredulous

-optimistic

-mocking

Miss Zu always make sarcastic thing about Dinie HAHA . and I can't stop laughing because of that hahahaha :D

Today was my third last class . Ouh its getting near :(

We were asked to make a group which with 5 or 4 person to do a POP QUIZ ! The pop quiz was about argumentative essay and each person need to write one paragraph. We were so nervous as the questions has been passed up to us ><

The rule is ,
each person only have 15 minutes to write one paragraph.

Everyone was sooo rushing to write the essay and Miss Zue always counting the time . urgghhhhhh -.-

I was the 4th person , I don't have any idea to do the concluding sentence . fuh =..=' Thanks to Aira, Haa, and Niena who always give support to the group ! ^^

 Finally , after 1 hour and 15 minutes, we  were succesfully  complete the essay !!!!!! JYEAHHHHHH!

OPPSS ! I forgot to share with all of you about megat's presentation , PASSIVE VOICE .

Passive voice is used when the emphasis is more on the object of a sentence rather than the doer.

heyyo thereeee :) hollaaa ^^ Today I have learned about ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY :)

In this kind of essay, we not only give information but also present an argument with the PROS (supporting ideas) and CONS (opposing ideas) of an argumentative issue. We should clearly take our stand and write as if we are trying to persuade an opposing audience to adopt new beliefs or behavior. The primary objective is to persuade people to change beliefs that many of them do not want to change.

You can used this steps to make an awesome essay ! :D

Brainstorm ideas on the subject
Identify the main topics
Use the topics as heading for organising your notes
Decides which side you are on. Make sure you choose the side that you can fully support
Plan and write an outline for your essay. Noting down the information you will include in each paragraph.

Drawing conclusions is a form of critical thinking. It is relating what you see, hear and read to what you already know.

Making inferences ^^

Today I have learned about making inferences and also prediction. You know what it is ??

Making Inferences - To make an inference or infer is often described as "reading between the lines." This is clearly not an adequate definition for our primary readers. Making an inference involves using background knowledge combined with information from the text and illustrations to draw conclusions about what is implied but not directly stated.

how about prediction ??

Prediction defined as a strategy in which readers use what they already know to anticipate and prepare for what is coming next. The effective readers make predictions before, during, and after reading.

After that, Miss Zue give us a card for each person that contain the clue to find who the murderer. The game was soo exciting as us was so curious to find who killed the person !

Then , we were playing another game . Miss Zue will show a video and we need to guess what happen next when Miss Zue stop the video . I was group with Megat , Niena and Haa . So here is the video and the answer that we gave.

What is simple present tense actually ?

The simple present tense is used to describe situations, activities or actions which happen in the present time.

Today we have learned about how to write introduction for paragraph . i know you think that it is just an introduction, why we need to focusing on it . BUT , it is important to grab the readers' attention ^^

First , you must have HOOK . what is hook ?

is that the hook in the fishing rod ?-,-

hook is designed to grab attention immediately and give some indication about the essay’s topic

there are 7 types of hook which is..

1. Personal examples

2. Quotations

3. Facts or statistics

4. Rhetorical questions

5. Current events

6. Contrast to the thesis statement

7. Definition 

Second, you need a transition .

It is to moves the reader from the hook to the driving force of the essay.

Third , a thesis statement is needed . it is to makes the contract with the reader about what will be discussed without a transparent announcement.

so here is the examples a complete introduction .

After all the preparation that we had done , exercise , buying some cotton buds , and now the time has come .

I hope I will do better than before. but still I can't bear to be in daydreaming~

everyone feels so insecure when Miss Zue picking up our name for the speaking exercise . who wants right haha . and i felt so grateful that I'm not be chosen har har :p

we were giving some exercise about speaking test which will be on tomorrow . seriously, I'm not confident when I'm talking in english . just like Megat's said that " you need to break the ice in your mouth"
